Come join us in honoring Wytheville's own McPeak Brothers!  Featuring the Larry McPeak Tribute Band with opening act Jaelyn Taylor & 21 South.

The Larry McPeak Tribute Band was formed to keep alive the songs of Larry McPeak of the well-known McPeak Brothers Band from Wytheville VA. Larry's songs are legendary. Band members are Mike McPeak from Wytheville, Adam McPeak from Fort Chiswell, Steve Chrisley from Max Meadows, Nikki Wright from Rural Retreat, Jeanette and Johnny Williams from Danville. 

Making her home in the Heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, 15 year old Jaelyn Taylor is continuing to climb her way to the top of her dreams. Finding her love of music at the young age of 4 years old, she is now bringing you a mix of beloved standards, as well as her own original songs. Jaelyn and the band, 21 South have achieved 3 number 1 songs on Mountain Bluegrass Radio charts with multiple songs charting on the Bluegrass Jamboree Radio Network. Jaelyn has appeared on RFD TV’s Woodsongs Radio Hour Television Show and was voted New Artist Of The Year by the Evan Dickerson Bluegrass Awards. 

About The McPeak Brothers - From

The McPeak Brothers were a favorite bluegrass trio from Wytheville, VA, made up of banjo/guitar player Dewey, bassist/guitarist Larry and guitarist/lead vocalist Mike. Their old sibling Udell broke into music initial when he became a member of the Lonesome Pine Fiddlers through the 1950s. In 1963, he, Dewey and Larry produced the first edition from the McPeak Brothers. Immediately after, Udell still left to try out with Crimson Smiley’s music group and was changed by Mike. Following addition of fiddler Ernest Atkins and mandolin participant Gus Ingo, the group started appearing every week on an area radio present in 1969. The McPeaks produced their documenting debut in 1970 and cut their initial record (Virginia, Where EVERYTHING Began) 2 yrs afterwards. They released another work, Bluegrass at Its Maximum, in 1973. Atkins’ companionship with Mel Tillis helped the McPeaks obtain onto Tillis’ syndicated Television show, which resulted in a agreement with RCA Victor and an recording in 1974. They quickly remaining the label and documented three even more albums on self-employed labels.
