A Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian

Free movie!

Showtimes:

5/11 7pm

International Museum Day is May 18th.

To celebrate international museum day, area museums are partnering with the Millwald theater with a showing of A Night at Museum II, the Battle of the Smithsonian followed by a day at the museums on 5/18/24!

The Millwald theater is partnering with the Town of Wytheville Museums to present the movie for free! It begins at 7:00 pm on Saturday May 11th. Customed museum employees will be in the lobby to hand out tickets for free admission for a day at the Museums on Saturday May 18th from 12-4pm.

There will be a free hop on, hop off shuttle service at the Wytheville Town municipal parking lot on east Monroe Street. The shuttle will stop at six area museums, the African American Heritage Museum at the Wytheville Training Center, The Edith Bolling Wilson Birthplace Museum, The Great Lakes to Florida Museum, The Octagon Mansion History Museum, The Thomas J. Boyd Museum, and the Wythe County Decorative Arts Museum.

We are fortunate to have these cultural institutions right here in Wytheville, and proud to join over 37,000 museums in 158 countries in celebrating the impact museums have on society.

Please take advantage of this opportunity to celebrate our museums. Come out to watch a movie on Saturday May 11th and see the real thing on International Museum Day Saturday May 18th! We look forward to seeing you for a “Night at the Museum and a Day at the Museums”!
