Join us for a special evening of history, storytelling, and celebration at the historic Millwald Theatre in Wytheville!

As America approaches its 250th anniversary, PBS Appalachia and Blue Ridge PBS proudly present the premiere of Resolved to Live and Die: The Revolutionary Roots of Southwest Virginia, a powerful new documentary exploring the pivotal role Southwest Virginia played in the fight for independence. We will have an engaging panel discussion featuring the filmmakers and historians, offering behind-the-scenes insights, historical context, and a deeper look at the stories that shaped our nation’s founding.

The documentary was produced in partnership with the Willowbrook Jackson/Umberger Homestead Museum and the Wilderness Road Regional Museum. 

The evening will also feature an exclusive sneak peek of the upcoming PBS documentary The American Revolution, the latest work from acclaimed filmmakers Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein, and David Schmidt.
